Verison Cell Modem (Novatel usb)
« on: April 26, 2010, 05:38:54 PM »
Does anyone know about drivers for this Verison cell modem?    This is my primary internet access as there is no cable where I live.   If I can manage the connection with PCL I can dump M$ for good.    The drivers are probably proprietary.

Any hacks??? ???

could you please connect it and open konsole? write lsusb and post the results, it could help us to detect the exact model of the device

open pclinux control center/hardware/browse and configure hardware

on what section is detected there?  what module has it loaded, unknown perhaps?

some modems are detected directly by the kernel and in those cases all you need to do is use kppp or use umtsmon(depends on the modem) or open pclinux control center/network and internet/setup a new network interface/3G
