When I wanted to record a macro in my fresh install of 2010 KDE4/OO3.2 I found that the menu item <Tools><Macros><Record Macro> was missing. This has been reported on the OO forum at <http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=96845>. Fortunately the underlying code is present and there is a toolbar icon that can be added in order to record a macro.
