Hi maddogF16:

Thanks for replying.  My wireless is recognized but it shows no networks.  If I try to enable the wireless network(wlan0), I get the error message that I posted previously.  I can't post the results you ask for because I needed wireless in the last two days and am now running OpenSuse (pretty nice, but not PCLOS).  I apologize that I did not try to stick it out so that others may benefit. but this is my work computer, and time was of the essence.

Edit: If any good suggestions come, I'll do a reinstall this weekend to see if we can make it work

Well, after much deep thought and research I finally solved my issue.  Here are the steps you need to take.

1) Go to PCLinuxOS.com
2) Download the 2010.1 .iso
3) Burn to disk
4) Reboot.

Hello from the 2010.1 live cd.  Wireless recognized and working (apologies to one of my neighbors.  It was just for testing purposes).

Thanks tex and all involved.
