Desktop configuration
« on: April 24, 2010, 05:00:27 PM »
Hello,
I am having a little problem trying to configure my desktop, specifically all I really want to do is change the wallpaper. I have been searching through the forums here and other KDE forums. All they are telling me to do is right click on the desktop and choose "configure desktop" or something similar. My right click menu doesn't have any option for configuring the desktop, only 'refresh desktop'. Also, the 'configure your desktop' icon along the bottom of my screen doesn't offer me any options for changing the wallpaper either.

I'm not really new to 'nix just KDE and I know this is probably a really stupid question but I am pretty frustrated because I know this is probably something really simple. This is a new install, all I have done to it is update via synaptic, install wine, Eve Online, and open office..I just say this to let you know I haven't butchered the install.

Thanks
Jim

At the very bottom of your right-click menu should be an entry saying Folder View Activity Settings. Click on it and it will take you to right place. That is if you have the 2010 version. But you said it was a new install.

My pleasure.  :)

Can you edit the subject line and put SOLVED in there? Just in case anybody does a search?
