ok im using pclos zen mini right now becuase the kde variant is just to much for this computer to handle. im currently stuck using the live cd as the pc dont have a harddrive and is waiting for the owner to buy one so i can get it back to her. my main pc is out of commission right now with a bad motherbaord and im tryhing to save up enough money for new guts for the pc which is going to cost me around $500 total for everything including a copy of windows 7 to use. the webcam i have is a $20 HP cam from walmart that works in cheese but nothing else. its being seen as a cif single chip cam. so im not sure what to do.

i dont use skype instead ive been using pidgin. so that fix wont work for me.

figured ide give it a try but instead of using skype i used pidgin and got these errors

[guest@localhost ~]$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so pidgin
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gnomebreakpad": libgnomebreakpad.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

guess what. those arent int he repos so i dont know what else to do about that.
