k3b - waiting for disk error
« on: April 20, 2010, 02:30:00 AM »
Hi

I know I've used k3b in the past to copy a DVD.  However this time the DVD is copied to PC, but then get:
 "waiting for disk - k3b
found medium: empty DVD-R medium
Please insert an empty DVD-DL medium into drive".

It displays "Load   Eject   Cancel" options.

I put an empty DVD into the drive and the devices menu pops up, but it won't load.  I can eject it.  So - I can't burn the DVD.  Is this a media issue perhaps, or to do with mounting, or something else?  Perhaps the DVD isn't able to be copied - it does say "encrypted" at the beginning of the copy phase.

Many thanks

Are you putting in a Dual Layer disk like it's asking you to?

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?
