« on: April 19, 2010, 05:25:35 PM »
I have a PC IM unable to install PCL 2010 on which had 2009 on. Drops to shell and dead from that point. Someone said to try makeliveusb  from a working computer. I can't find the program. I tried from konsole but did not know how to set the path i guess to the usb stick. So can someone tell me one of 2 things how to install to the PC in question.either from a CD or  USB STICK ...... The CD is good also... a tried a cd from a different person who also runs PCL and the same thing happened and both CD's work fine on other PC's

I solved my issue with the install by temporarily putting in a dedicated video card. Apparently, the shared video in my machine is using just enough RAM to stop the install from working on the Live-CD. After install, I removed the card and went back to the on-board video and it works fine. Might be your problem too.

I Played with SATA settings in BIOS and got PCL to install. 2010 removed that as a boot option.
