[Solved] k3b - not enough temporary memory error
« on: April 19, 2010, 04:52:31 PM »
Hi everyone.
I've used k3b in the past on my 2009 system to copy DVDs but it now gives the above error.  How do I clear the memory?  Thanks

Post back the output of the following command in a terminal

df  <enter>

The K3b defaults are capable of being changed so that its temp location points to a partition where you have sufficient space.

regards.

[rose@limavady ~]$ df
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1             7.7G  5.3G  2.1G  73% /
/dev/sda6              62G   31G   32G  50% /home

OK thanks.  I wondered if clearing some of the iso's I've burned might help.

You can just open K3b and under  settings/configure K3b/Misc,  create a K3b temp (or any name) folder in your home directory and set it as
as the new temp directory.
Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.
