How do I change the default browser in lxde 2010?

You can download any browser in the repos and use it. Is this what you want to know?

Your question seems to make an assumption that there is a default browser. Really the case is, only one browser comes preloaded. That does not make it the default.

The default browser is the one that opens when f ex a http-link is clicked.

Ahh I see. and do you have another browser installed that you would like to use?
 
Which one? Usually there is a setting in the browser that will allow you to make it the default.

If there is a way to make adjustments to the "alternatives" file then you can specify a default browser. In Slackware, i used to use Galternatives to chose my default apps.

I imagine PCLinuxOS has something like that, but I am too much of a newbie to know what it is.

I added the following line to /home/longtom/.bashrc

Code: [Select]
export BROWSER=opera
Insert in the place of "opera" the browser of your choice.
