Why do you have two postings, of the same thing?  ;D ;D ;D

I think we need a moderator here, to sort this dilemma out. ;D

I hit post in one window, checked the forum in another.  Didn't show.  Reposted in the first window and refreshed the second window. didn't show.  Wouldnt surprise me a bit if it showed up 10 times or more.  Imagine a smiley here, tho I am not smiling at the moment.  :)

You didn't say what the problem is... as in error messages, etc.

Joble and I were just discussing this. Here's his error output:

__pedmodule

I've been working on this for weeks.  I can't post my findings tonight... I can't stay online long enough to reply.  Will be surprised if you even see this.  pedmodule... see in the spec file:
Quote
%{!?python_sitearch: %define python_sitearch %(%{__python} -c "from distutils.sysconfig import get_python_lib; print get_python_lib(1)")}
and
%{python_sitearch}/_pedmodule.so

I don't know what the means, but I been spending the last week trying to figure it out. As far as I can tell the pedmodule is an interface to the functions of libparted, but it ain't working.

Did you try entering python_sitearch or _pedmodule.so in a Google search box?

Joble,
Have you checked what's in /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages?

Neal:  What should I be looking for in there?

O-P:  Yup.

I even read this nice little tutorial about packaging python modules.
http://en.opensuse.org/Packaging/Python
Quote
#  %python_sitearch - site-packages directory for platform-dependent modules. Expands to %{_libdir}/python%{py_ver}/site-packages

So I know what sitearch is doing now.

pedmodule is in the sources, so I'm trying to figure out why it seems to be missing in the build during the build and all the tests are failing.
/home/joe/src/rpm/SOURCES/pyparted-3.1/include/_pedmodule.h
/home/joe/src/rpm/SOURCES/pyparted-3.1/src/_pedmodule.c

Searching for X-MF: command not found resulted in:

Quote
With --force libtoolize overwrites the shipped libtool stuff and
replaces it with your system's libtool (which is older and not
compatible). It never triggered before because we were in turn shipping
an outdated libtool as well, but at some point due to problems with
darwin (IIRC) we had to upgrade.
If you can get the reconfigure script to run without --force you should
have no problems.

-aCaB

libtoolize isn't being forced in the spec file though.  I will check and see if it is being forced in the sources.

Thanks for the help guys.
  :)

Attaching the rpm -ba results.
