Translation please ( change to new kernel) [Solved]
« on: April 16, 2010, 12:49:02 AM »
"If you've already put on 2010 you do not have to re-download and install again. old iso = ker 2.6.32.11 new iso = ker 2.6.32.11-bfs."

I got the bit about not having to reinstall, after that, not so much..

Install the new kernel from synaptic, once it is installed reboot your machine and select the bfs kernel. It can't be any easier.

I'll just try to expound...

If you have already install PCLinuxOS KDE 2010 using the former iso that has the non-bfs kernel, you don't have to dowload the "new" and "final" ISO again.  You just have to install the 2.6.32.11-bfs by using Synaptic and then reboot.  The new kernel will be automatically chosen as the default. :)

Thanks, that got it. I did a search for kernel-2.6.32.11-pclos2.bfs in Synaptic and marked it installation.
