Adblock Plus
« on: April 14, 2010, 09:02:08 PM »
Hi,

Having a problem with adblock plus,it won't install, it tells me that it it's corrupted, never had that before with FF, anyone else having the same issue?

This is what it comes back with:-

Quote
Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/latest/1865/addon-1865-latest.xpi?src=addondetail

because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)
-261

Tried a few times to d/l it, done the startcom edit, but that hasn't helped.

just tried it, and this is on an install of 2010 an hour or so ago. I usually put on flashblock too. Usually I do both the first time after an install, i see all the crud jumping around and popping up.

Sort of like the people that pay to watch tv, and commercials and promos are busy in the lower half of the screen. Why does no one complain about that? Or bit starved mosaic pixelation on pay tv. oops ranting again.

Hmmm. Something's hiccuping at addons.mozilla.org. I sent an email earlier today to the AdblockPlus programmer because I still haven't been able to install it, not on PCLOS2010, but another Linux install. However, I was getting a -260 in the error message, something about the author's signature couldn't be verified. Hopefully, it will get straightened out.

AdblockPlus installed fine for me on MiniMe2010. But I once had trouble installing it cuz of a certificate issue. But your problem sounds way different. Sorry no help.  :(
