Pass server OK?
« on: April 14, 2010, 10:13:10 AM »
I have been unable to connect to PASS server in the last few days. Is this an issue on the net or do I have a problem locally? Everything else works fine.

Not certain knowledge, but a good guess. PASS has been frozen like the rest of the old repos. 2010 has been released. PASS is being updated to serve the upgradable, now current, 2010 release.  ;D

rusty377,

I couldn't connect either, but I got this on the pclinuxfiles.com site:  This domain name expired on 04/12/2010 and is pending renewal or deletion

I'd expect Texstar to get this straigtened out soon; after all, he's been sorta busy!!

If it jams, force it.... if it breaks, ... it needed to be replaced anyway!!

Thank you gentlemen.

old-pollack-I was wondering if it was related to my post about update-notifier since it was not functioning after changing per your reply :0) Coincidence I guess timing wise. Thanks

Mine didn't work either, so switched to YouCanToo's repo, a few days ago. The main advantage of PASS is getting new packages a bit earlier than the main mirrors. As the old 2009 repo will not ever be updated, no advantage exists for those wishing to keep running it for a while. PASS only make sense with the new upgradable 2010 releases. As to the domain expiration, I know nothing, and won't speculate.
