Just thought I'd add that I also experienced problems with installing PCLOS KDE 2010. During the installation process it just stopped about 2/3 in. Tried again, and same thing happened. I ran a media check and it passed, so the CD is good. I pondered downloading minime, but decided to have a gander at the forum and found this thread, and then did just what the doctor ordered: Opened a terminal, su to root and typed draklive-install. It worked like a charm. After rebooting I ran synaptic and noticed that there were some updates to draktools and such. Maybe they're fixes for this problem, I don't know.
I gotta say PCLOS KDE 2010 is quite snappy. Now I can open mp3-files directly without Amarok crashing on me. Before I always had to start Amarok and then open the files I wanted. Same goes for Okular when reading PDFs, prone to crashing. I'm donating again, that's for sure! Thanks PCLOS team, you rock
