Youcantoo's frozen KDE3 repo question
« on: April 12, 2010, 05:05:03 AM »
After reinstalling a recently created remaster, I now notice when visiting the site that there are 1145 entries in status for 'new in repository' files.  I would have thought since this repo was frozen some time ago, there would be no new files added.  I had considered adding vlc is the reason I checked there.  I see vlc is listed, but there are three dependencies that have to be updated in order to install it.  So I backed away timidly.

This is the repo in question:
URI:   rpm   http://kde3.pclosusers.com/pclosfiles
Distribution:   pclinuxos/2007
Section(s):   main extra nonfree kde

Would like to know if it is safe to install any of the new files or update anything.

Thanks, teddyred

You should be fine.

Everything is marked new because its your first visit to a new repository, if you go back you should find no new entries.

Andy
