Pacpl is a software you find  in Synaptic, its aim is to converte audio (..)
files (for example    from   .flac  to  .mp3)
  +
(I apologize for my ITALIAN  English)
  +
In Synaptic you may find  2 versions of Pacpl to be installed:

Pacpl      for  the    environment  KDE 4
Pacpl      for  the    environment  KDE 3

  +
How  could   I  DISINSTALL  wrong version for my Kde 3 desktop
in order to install the proper one  ?

In my computer (Kde3) by mistake I and have installed the Pacpl for Kde 4.  .
(In Synaptic many packages have been changed through the   installing of sound converter Pacpl for Kde 4 ).

Welcome to the forum!   ;)

Use Synaptic, right click on the incorrect package and select to remove completely.
Then right click on the correct package and select to install.

Pacpl sound converter
used to convert    pianomusic.flac      to      pianomusic.mp3

A) first step  I  change directory :

[angelo@localhost~]S  cd/home/angelo/Music
[angelo@localhost Music]S

B) I launch Pacpl converter

[angelo@localhost Music]S  pacpl -t mp3  *.flac

C) Results :
Perl Audio Converter -4.0.5
Converting : [01.Pianomusic.flac] -> [mp3]
 ..done

In folder Music now I find original and new converted files:
pianomusic.flac  pianomusic.mp3  .......

Question:  i s     a v a i l a b l e      a       G r a p h i c      user interface  in the software Pacpl ?

(  Thank you all for your answers and for having written so nice welcome words.)

For what you need a Graphic User Interface?
Simple to convert more as one file, open the folder with pacpl. Right click on the folder, where you have your musicfiles...
