icewm and fluxbox

Just a big thank-you to Tex and the gang for the work you did on these two!
I've been using them both and really like them. Icewm has been a favorite of mine for some time.
I also have lxde on 2 machines and between them, I don't miss kde at all.
Thanks!

I used to select icewm on earlier machines with less power, but generally prefer KDE.

But it is incomprehensible to me, that any distro maker would want to spend time on anything else than a single selected environment.

Spreading your resources like that must make it difficult to optimize the main product spearheading the market with a clear profile.

What's the purpose of making a disto that is like everyone else?

Maybe it's just me.. I don't understand it.

The "other" flavors are spear headed by other individuals and not necessarily packagers or such so the resources aren't as thin as it would seem.
Why?

Hi Thulemanden,
You may have a confusion of terms.
The distro is PClinuxOS
And the Desktop Environment (DE) is, KDE, Gnome, etc. etc.
As MaddogF16 said, these other DE's are maintained by community members, & rather than detracting from the distro's focus it greatly broadens it.
Each DE has it's own attraction, cosmetic & technically & has special appeal to a wide variety of people.
So I think most see our community remasters of many DE's as an asset. Many other distros are doing the same btw.
Anyway, have a good time with your PClinuxOS2010 in whichever flavor you choose!!
