I installed 2010 Beta 2. Everything worked great out of the box. Had it for a couple of days before updating packages. After updating I was unable to open PCC from icon or Konsole. Note that I upgraded all of the packages at the same time before rebooting.
I reinstalled 2010Beta2, first updated any of the Drak packages that needed upgrading. Closed Synaptic rebooted and was able to open PCC and Synaptic. Then upgraded Gtk+2.0 which forced to upgrade libgdk_pixbuf2.0_0. This is the troublesome package, not all the files were installed, I forgot to write them down.
I rebooted and was unable to open PCC or Synaptic GUI or PCC through Konsole. In frustration because this was my fourth install, I decided to upgrade of all of the other packages through Konsole. After reboot, I was able to open PCC and Synaptic through the GUI; however, not all icons showed. The next day they reappeared.
