If you have a HP Pavilion TX1000 notebook and have been looking to use the touchscreen things have just gotten very easy. Ignoring that fact that most of the other snazzy features that used to be a pain (sound, extra buttons, wireless, webcam) just work out of the box the touchscreen is now very easy to configure.
1. Download the eGalax driver for your machine here
http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTouchDriver/linuxDriver.htm2. Extract the driver and follow the few easy steps in the readme
3. Reboot and run the configuration program as instructed in the readme
You now have a TX1000 with a touchscreen that took no more than a few minutes to get going.
