Beta2
« on: March 24, 2010, 03:02:03 PM »
Had to wait a day. Thought there was a problem, but it was my partition. It is now loaded and after taking a few things from the 2009 version (wallpaper, etc) it looks good. The network icon finds my music on other machines and so far everything seems to be working well. Will get back to you after checking things out a bit more.
PS
Everyone seems to be on a E17 kick right now and I like it too, but I think that Xfce is a good replacement for those that miss the KDE3 days.

Thanks Kori

Definitely prefer PCLinuxOS Phoenix to KDE 4.4etc - and also love PCLinuxOS Gnome

Just itching to find out where we go with both these Quad Desktops once the final PCLinuxOS 2010 comes available

Up to now it seems a safe bet each will have itÅ› own flavor of PCLinuxOS 2010 though

By the way NTFS info did NOT work do NOT have NTFS partitions on any of the Quads - only fat 32 and they all show up in Gnome but not in Phoenix and for some reason lost them in PCLinuxOS 2010 KDE beta2 that is why Phoenix is now on along with the strane way of doing things in KDE 4.4
