Install PackageKit  and deps  with synaptic .

Then it works.

It seems to mean that PackageKit itself is not installed

 IMPORTANT:
 KPackageKit itself can do nothing without PackageKit.
 So have it installed before.

Packagekit needs to be set as a dependency of Kpackagekit.

Interesting ..... I ran the app and updated the package list and then searched for Abiword .....  but it refused to show it ......  it showed Kword.
I then searched for "office" and it returned Getopenoffice and Koffice

Does it only return KDE apps?

Hi all.  Just did an update and kpackagekit was on the list.  After update kpackagekit loaded and worked as normal here

Okay, after i reinstall it, it's work more as before, but...
When i click on a package rpm, kpackage will install but cant, because
can't start „/usr/share/applications/kde4/kpackagekit.desktop“, klauncher is not find or installed
