connection troubles

Hi again,

I've got another Problem with my internet connection now: sometimes, on rare occasions I'm able to establish the connection and access the internet, but most time he'll tell me he's unable to connect eth1 (wired connection). It's like timed out or pulled the plug, but I can't figure out what the exact problem is because I'm only experiencing this problem under Linux and only when trying to use the university's internet - elsewhere (i.e. at home) I didn't have that problem. (Sometimes the connection itself is very poor indeed, but still stable enough to allow Windows to connect properly.) Once eth1 is connected, KVpnc will be able to connect as well, so this has nothing to do with KVpnc I think.

But the strange thing is that I'm only having this problem very often under Linux, but not always and not under Windows.

Anyone got an idea what I can do about this?

Thanks in advance,

Thodor
