hdparm & DVD Writer
« on: March 16, 2010, 06:09:17 PM »
Hi

Everytime i want to write a DVD with K3B i have to run "hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc" otherwise my DMA is disabled, this occurs after i put in a DVD to read.

This occured after i replaced my DVD writer from a Sony to a Liteon.

K3B setup look ok.

For what it's worth since there are no replies.
This happened to me when I received a bunch of DVD's which were burned with a Windows version of UDF - and iso file was copied rather than the image burned correctly. I could open the disks with K3B and copy to hard drive where they could be opened with ISO application.
Otherwise it has only occurred with a DVD player having problems.
