I don't know if this is a Windows 7 issue, a PCLOS issue or a hardware issue, but this is what happens. If I boot into Linux, no problems connecting to internet. If I boot into Windows 7, no problems connecting to internet. But if I boot into Linux after having boot into Windows 7, I can not connect to internet. I have to Configure Network and re-establish my settings. It doesn't matter if I power off first, I still have to do this.
The only thing I could think of is that possibly Windows 7 sets something on the network card when it connects that causes Linux to not recognize the card from a prior setting and it has to reconfigure to pick up the change. But that is based on absolutely no information other than what I just wrote.
According to Hardware my ethernet card is a Realtek RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller. I am wired to router, not using wireless.
thanks for any ideas.
