Different Background Each Desktop
« on: March 15, 2010, 08:20:25 AM »
So far, I've found that many items are buried in nested menus in kde 4.
Is it possible to have a different background or wallpaper for each desktop in kde 4.4.1 ?
Thanks in advance.

The best way to save face is keep the bottom half shut.

Does anyone know if there is a way to have different wallpapers and still have the same widgets across all your workspaces without having to duplicate them?

Not at this time. The wallpaper is attached to the "activity" represented on the workspace. I reported this on the KDE 4 bug list ... along with many others. The responses were rather hostile from the KDE dev team, so I wouldn't hold your breath that the wallpaper will be separated from the workspace activity any time soon.
