Well, I'm a real distro breaker at times, but I could not succeed in breaking PCLinuxOS so far. That's why I try so hard to make as many french remasters as possible.
No boot on SATA ?
I installed 2010 beta1 on this machine:
Netbook N210As you see, sata hard drive, usb boot only (did it from usb key by copying the files to fat32 fs + grub + menu.lst made out of the isolinux.cfg boot lines). It runs fine, my son has allready used if for sending mails to his generous donator. ^^
(He is waiting forward to get the full Battle for Wesnoth to reboot it more often... but we'll try to install the next beta2 on it before wesnoth will be available

)
Else, thoses who will say Pclos don't work on 64bits will also be deceived, as this is a small but powerful 64bits 1.66 Ghz processor.
This guy saying PCLinuxOS beta1 does not boot to his drive
might just be a cheap consumer ?
