live v. install

First post, be gentle!

I have run the live disk on several computers. One worked great! Including finding network card, after installing, the machine somehow couldn't find the network, either automatically, or by manually configuring the card!
Please help!

Can you post your system specs back here, especially network details, plus any error messages you are getting

The machine is an sis963(?) motherboard with on board sound, video, and network, plus a 3com(?) PCI NIC.
Processor is an AMD  Athlon. When I run the live disk, it finds the PCI NIC, I looked at config(live) then booted installed(same disk), to manually config NIC, no dice. Also note I have static IP address, so DNS, and gateway should be same, right?

Sorry cobalt, I should of also asked what version of PCLinuxOS you are running

I'm guessing you've done this but just in case....

Right click on network icon in desktop panel/toolbar
Select Configure Network
It will probably select Wired(Ethernet)  (If that not correct select the one you want)

Then select Next and choose your selections clicking Next after each.....
