Does the D-Link DWA-645 PCMCIA Card work in PCLOS?
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:49:32 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with the D-Link DWA-645 Wireless N 300Mbps card (see http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000FTNA3U/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=0G8E350E5N65HHJJ8TMW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467198433&pf_rd_i=468294 for full details)???

Any comments or suggestions for something else very much appreciated......

Did a forum search bring you any hits?

If so, did you try anything offered?

I did search the forum, but couldn't find a lot of information. The best thread was http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,62619.0.html, but I couldn't find anywhere to buy the cards that were recommended. I am also keen to get an N-wireless card of which the DLink looks good, so just wondered if anyone had used it.

Not sure what your second question "If so, did you try anything offered?" means. I was asking for advice on what had worked for other people before buying a card myself. I therefore haven't been able to "try anything offered".

menotu - what wireless pcmcia card do you have?

Just to let anyone who is interested in this card know that it seems to work perfectly with PCLOS (at least with 2010 Beta 2). Will post any issues if they arise as I use it.......
