KDE World clock
« on: March 07, 2010, 12:52:10 AM »
Is there a KDE Package that shows the world times as you move your mouse; I believe that it is a KDE package.
I am new to PCLinuxOS.
Thanking you,
kato40 :)

Welcome to the forum Kato40. I hope You will enjoy Your time here.

Are You using KDE3 or KDE4?

Open any K[application] and Click Help > About KDE to see what version are You running.

If You are using KDE4 than I think that the package that You want is called

Code: [Select]
plasma-applet-kworldclock
Install it via Synaptic Package Manager. Then right click on the desktop and choose Unlock Widgets. Right click again and choose Add Widget.

Find widget named World Clock and double click on it. It will appear on the desktop. You can play with it then. Drag it to move it around. Use the tools on the side of it (it pops out when You move mouse above the widget) to resize it and Right Click on the Widget to get extra option.

Hope this helps.

Andy

Unfortunately with kde 3.5.1 this will be impossible... I don't remember any application for KDE3 that could do what You want. I can't believe I am saying this but I don't miss KDE3 anymore... I can't imagine going back to it... got so much attached to KDE4...

Can some KDE3 user step in here?

Andy

There is KWorldClock. You have to go to synaptic and install kdetoys.
