Mouse driver missing?
« on: March 03, 2010, 06:09:52 PM »
My cursor is dead in the middle of the screen.

I have yet to try a PS2 mouse, I may buy a USB to PS2 adapter tomorrow

I certainly prefer to take care of my own issues

Might someone get me closer to finding a solution.

Thank you!   Flyboy

If this is intended to be a request for help rather than a rant, you might want to tell us a bit about your hardware and what version of PCLOS you are running or trying to run.

Also, have you installed it or is this happening with the liveCD. Also, at what point do you see this?

I could think of a few answers if I knew enough to narrow down which one would apply to your situation.

For instance, some combinations of BIOS settings and hardware will not recognize a USB mouse while accessing the GRUB menu.

This normally happens when the haldaemon fails to start at boot up.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

flyboy,

I just realized that this was your first post and I did not welcome you to the group...sorry.

Welcome to the group!

By the way, I meant nothing negative with the rant comment.

If this is happening while using the LiveCD, did you run the media check function? Or, is this happening at the menu where you would select that function?
