webcam for my daughter

i m searching for a webcam running without problems in pclos for my daughter, what model can i buy?
She wants to chat with her friends in skype and icq.

I got a Logitech C500 Webcam yesterday. It needed no installation to work well in Skype and VLC.

I can't  install the Windows program that came with the webcam, so I don't know what functionality I'm missing, but Logitech seems to have a good Linux forum.
