compiz in pclos 2010 really????

i saw this quote from tex on a website.... is it true compiz will
be in 2010??  i know kde 4.3 or 4.4 will be default and i thought compiz does not work in kde 4  and that u should use kwin/??

According to texstar, PCLOS 2010 will be released shortly after KDE4.4 is finalized.  It should include:

kernel 2.6.32.4, udev, hal, initscripts, plymouth bootsplash, speedboot, xorg, compiz 3D, nvidia/fglrx drivers, ext 4 default file system, KDE 4.4.

wow.. thanks didnt know that.. maybe ill try it....  I like to have the middle mouse activatate the cube ... but in KWIN you can't choose a mouse button.. only keys!!! but compiz you can map the cube to a mouse button....

I read somewhere on the KDE forums that mouse events will be available for kwin actions. It was just not known whether in it would make it in 4.4 or later in 4.5. Bummer I can't find it right now...

We'll see what 4.4 has to offer when the 2010 beta is out (in the next couple of days I hope).

Just checked in Mandriva Cooker - nope, no mouse keys for kwin actions yet
