can ssh one pc to another but not vice versa

I am trying to ssh (fish in Konqi or sftp) from one of my computers to the other.  It works in one direction but not the other.  I have made sure that the ssh daemon is running on both.

I never get the login dialogue - just

An error occurred while loading sftp://192.168.1.101:
Unknown error
 Error encountered while talking to ssh.

yeah, that is the correct IP for the computer I am trying to reach.  And I have no trouble from this one into that one.

I probably just need to configure the other to accept connections maybe?  where?

do u have a firewall running and blocking ssh port on the computer you cant connect to?

No firewall I have set on either computer other than what might be set standard install PCLOS.  They are both the standard install of 2009.2 and I configured nothing more than a static IP on each.  101 can SSH into 100 no problem. But if from 100 try to SSH into 101 immediately gives me that error Error encountered while talking to ssh - I don't even get a login dialogue.

confirmed sshd going on both of them.

What Log should I be looking at, where?
