Agust, it seems to me that the more I learn of e17, the more I find to like and admire. I have long maintained that a GUI should be directly configurable; that is to say, that each and every element and function should be configurable simply by right-clicking upon it directly, instead of having to search for its configuration options in some buried sub-menu.
I am indeed curious about coffeetime's recent layout. It is not that an "Eee" icon may be added to the shelf in such elegant fashion, however, but rather that I am wondering more of its actual function. To me it is implying perhaps a more specialised set of Eee-specific functions or options, and I am wondering what those would be, as I've not noticed such previously. The, ah, 'elevation' of his shelf above the display bottom also mystifies me - I appreciate the beauty of its transparency and placement, but then I also wonder how he makes actual use of it, as my own pattern of usage tends to lead me towards a different layout style.
I feel my old curiosity again, growing - I may wish to learn a great deal more, from both of you!
