does anybody know why vlc media player would not be able to load onto lxde. bad install or just not compatible. the file in question is libxcb-keysyms.so.0. it says its not loadable.

VLC is broken for those that downloaded certain incompatible file (don't remember which one) I don't think it will be fixed until PCLinuxOS 2010 is out in a couple of weeks. You can try another player in the meantime.

I still use VLC, didn't update libxcb-util-devel
but Kaffeine used to be my favorite, mplayer and real player are in repos.
BTW I didn't like dragon player.
