Synaptic Update Problems
« on: February 10, 2010, 01:51:16 PM »
I'm running PCLOS 2009.2 and haven't updated for at least 4 weeks.
I only have one repo checked, and ran upgrade packages.
It showed only one update, but it would also remove vlc.

After the update I thought I'd install VLC again, however
now i get unresolved dependencies below and cannot reinstall
vlc:

vlc:
 Depends: vlc-plugin-mad
 Depends: vlc-plugin-a52
 Depends: vlc-plugin-ogg
 Depends: vlc-plugin-theora
 Depends: libvlccore.so.2
 Depends: libvlc.so.2
Depends: libxcb-keysyms.so.0  but it is not installable

This is the first time I have had a synaptic problem, does
anyone else have this?

Is there any way to resolve this, thanks in advance.

Search the forum on vlc libxcb. There are 18 separate threads.
