Don't know what Nvidia driver to install for PCLOS virtualized

I'm running PCLOS virtualized with VirtualBox 3.1.4 on a Windows XP host. My monitor is a LG widescreen with 1920x1080 of resolution and my phisical video card is a Nvidia GeForce 210.
My virtualized PCLOS is currently running with a VirtualBox Video card driver (it set it automatically), but only allows me to choose a max 1024x768 of resolution using the Control Center. This means that PCLOS is running in a very small 4:3 window, that is pretty unusable on my monitor.
I tried to run the video script in the utility folder to install a better driver but can' find anything working well. For example, i tried to install drivers using the "NVidia 96xx" script and then opened the Control Center to change the graphic server. After i set a "Nvidia GeForce 2 MX to GeForce 4" card and i press the "test" button a get an error message and can't have the NVidia driver working:

An error occurred:
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/fonts//libtype1.so
(EE) Failed to load module "type1" (loader failed, 7)
Try to change some parameters

In effect my biggest confusion is in choosing the correct driver for my GeForce 210 because i don't know which driver i have to install, something that allows me to set a resolution greater than 1024x768 and possibly widescreen to properly use my display area.
Anyone could help me on this?

The VM uses a virtual video card, so there is no other driver to use, other than the one in the VBox guest additions. You can still set the resolution to what you need, using that driver. In the PCC section on setting up a video card, after the guest additions are installed, open the Resolution section and there should be many choices other than 1024x768. The virtual video card should be able to duplicate whatever resolutions you real video card supports.

OK, setting the display with a greater resolution in PCC allows me to choose a greater resolution from "Configure your desktop".
Only, this setting is not permanent if set as normal user (with root it works, instead). Every time I log in i have the desktop set to 1024x768 and have to open the "Configure your desktop" window every time. As i open the Display section on the "size" window PCLOS automatically adjust the resolution to the correct settings (before i do anything, the resolution is already set to a greater value).
Is there a way to fix this and make my settings become persistent?

Once set, I've never had a resolution revert to a past setting by rebooting. Possibly you are misreading the symptoms. With the guest VM running, click Machine in the top menu bar, then select Auto-resize Guest Display. After setting this option, the display should automatically reset the size of the display to fit whatever size one chooses for the window it is in. See below.



You may have to reboot the VM for this to take effect.

Make sure you have Guest Additions installed and follow Mister old-polacks post and all should be well...

In effect the guest additions were not installed. I installed them and rebooted but problem still occurs.
In addition, the item "Auto resize guest display" is disable here (greyed out)
Finally, neither with root the resolution auto-adjust correctly after the login
Any other suggestion?
