for that advice, though having so much trouble with graphics card with newer kernels, thanks for the info about fglr Texstar
, I am quite surprised the new fglr is not still supporting many graphics cards that are not new, bit of a blow for linux users, as most these cards I am told will work fine on Windows 7, which seems more backwards compatable.
I imagine quite a few people will be left behind, wonder what will happen about repositories? one for the latest, and hopefully one for the pre kernel 188.8.131.52 which will enable people to continue having compositing with compiz fusion etc and not take a step backwards just because they cannot afford the latest pc.
If I cannot use the newer Kernels with my pc with my ati graphics card with 3d is there an easy way to download the present repository before its all updated, so if I want any software I can still have it for my old AMD 3500+ 2gig ram 512 mb radeon x1650 320gig hdd relic machine. Thanks
