Editing avi files
« on: February 07, 2010, 12:33:00 PM »
Hi

I have an avi file that I want to edit (cutting out a part). How to do that? What program to use?

I haven't used either program for awhile, but I think either Kdenlive of Avidemux should work... :D

I agree, avidemux should do it.
If Firefighters died and went to hell, they would just put it out!

another vote for avidemux

if all you want is to remove parts from a video, avidemux will ask for point a and point b(begin to cut and end)

if you want to resize, remove audio, crop and similar stuff, this app will help you too but you could need to recompress the video

the nice thing with avidemux is that it doesn't touch the original file, it only creates a new one
