This little scanner is recognized as a USB storage device. It is not recognized or supported by "Sane" the standard Linux scanning program.
You just connect the scanner to USB port, press scan button and jpeg image will appear in -- My Computer > Storage Media > USB > myfile.jpg
You can now open this jpg file with Gimp (or Digicam) and modify to your taste and then save.
You must then umount this file and then scan another.
