Widget Dashboard- Solved

I have this annoying situation with mouse movements and the widget dashboard. First, let all be assured that my widgets are locked.

Some times when I move the mouse quickly, usually in the proximity of the application launcher, the Widget Dashboard screen comes up and the open programs disappear.

The only available item is the trashcan which I click on it and the desktop is restored  with all the open applications, but the trash screen is opened and I must close it.   Also if I right click I bring op the desktop settings screen and the desktop with the open applications reappear. Again I must close the desktop settings screen.

I don't want to remove anything through synaptic that pertains to widgets lest I screw up my set up.

Any suggestions?

So You dont want the dashboard right?

Click KMenu > System > Configuration > Configure Your Desktop

Window will come up

Find and click in the list on the left:

Look and feel > Desktop > Screen edges

and then check the picture of the screen it will have little squares on the sides and in the corners. Check which one is set to Show dashboard and set it to No action.

Then apply the change. That should do it.
