I run PCLinuxOS 2009.2 KDE 3.5.10 in multi-boot with Windows XP.
For displaying pictures I like GQview. How can I make that app the DEFAULT?
What apps should I use to IMPORT pictures from a CAMERA, from a CD?
Thank you for your help.

Right click on a picture file, then choose
Properties.

Click on the
wrench/spanner icon on the right side of the window.

Click on the application of your choice, in the lower left pane, then click the appropriate button to the right, to place that app at the
top of the list.

Click on the
Apply button, and when the process completes, the
OK button, and the chosen application will now be the default application for opening that type file. You will need to do this for each picture extension type; .jpg, .png, .gif, etc.
If the application you wish is not listed, click the
Add button, and select the application from the menu offered. The added item should appear, already at the top of the list. Then click the
Apply and
OK buttons.
