Flash in Kompozer help
« on: February 06, 2010, 11:54:07 AM »
I have a problem with KompoZer.

I have a problem with KompoZer.
I will insert various flash components, such items flash calendar, news ticker, menu and more. All in flash. I bought some software from Coffecup a few years ago to the windows. The Web page maker with Windows, there was no problem with putting flash into a webpage, but in KompoZer seems more complicated!

Does anyone know how to insert these flash elements in KompoZer! Is this complicated!

I have updated my website for my one-man-orchestra

It is not finished, it is among other things here I want to go into some flash

http://home.broadpark.no/~ervikson/

PCLinuxOS is best, even for me.

Hello LinuxGnu: to insert a flash object using Kompozer or SeaMonkey, just click your mouse where you want the flash object to be in the page, then go to the very top of the Kompozer menu and click on "Insert", you will get a drop down menu, choose "HTML" and you will get another window open , paste your flash object code into that window(right click in the window, and paste) . you should see the box where your flash will be, then you can save your page and view it in a browser. Hope this helps.

I did as you said. I tested this in both SeaMonkey and Kompozer, but unfortunately no result!

You can insert a youtube movie, but that's all

Are you sure you have the correct flash code? it should be an <object> code. I put flash into web sites all the time using Kompozer and SeaMonkey. Here is my site with a flash header, http://www.sandyvalleymedia.com

Yes, I have this, and I never had a problem with this Web page maker in winxp
http://www.webpage-maker.com/

I'm using winxp in Virtualbox with the following program:
Coffecup: http://www.coffeecup.com/

http://www.amarasoftware.com/flash-news-ticker.htm

http://music.a4desk.com/

http://www.dreamingsoft.com/123flashmenu/index.htm

All the programs purchased, some years ago. And they are very good at flash. So what makes this not go in KompoZer or SeaMonkey! I do not understand!

I make flash in one of the programs and click on Publish. And get a wizard where i can copying the code over to, in this case, for items KompoZer. Then save those files in the directory you have saved the site. This I have done previously in the "Web page maker" in xp and it worked. So here I am blank!

Well I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. I also use a windows program to produce the flash file and I save it as an HTML file and then I copy the <object> code and the flash file into the folder in PCLinuxOS of the page that I am working on, then open the page with Kompozer and copy and past the <object> code into the page, save it, and then upload the page and related flash file to my server and everything works. sorry I can't be more help.
