I was not kidding. I have a wide screen and had to guess at the resolution. Still not sure it is correct. No "typo" references, I assure you.

This Chimei monitor isn't listed in PCC's Hardware/Graphical Server set up list. So, i used the generic settings. I pulled the monitor's back panel (cosmetic panel hiding plugs, etc.), found the model number, Googled it, and found a page with specs.
I then set panel and rez tothe maximum spec. logged off and back on, and PCLinuxOS didthe rest.

The only thing I had to do was re-set a couple of virtual desktop wallpapers.
First, see if you can first find your monitor model in PCC's Hardware/Graphical Server set up list. If it's listed, then you're all set. if it's not, then find the model of your monitor, get the specs, and follow the above procedure.
