ACER ASPIRE ONE 250 doesnt see ethernet

I am an extreme newbie.  I have Cds of pclinux 2009-1 and 2009-2.  With either one the ethernet is not seen on my new Acer Aspire one D250-1958.   This machine works fine (ethernet and wifi) booting Knoppix 6.2, but I'd prefer to use PCLINUXOS.  Is this a known problem?  Is there an easy solution?

Welcome to the Forums!  We've got a couple Aspire users.  Hopfully one of them will see this soon.

I have the AA0 150 and just found out that my ethernet connection is not working ?? my wifi works OK ... never have checked the ethernet plug before, always used the wifi... dumbfounded ??
