New Nvidia drivers
« on: January 31, 2010, 07:14:31 AM »
Hi, I have found compositing problems with the nvidia 173.14.12 drivers for my FX5200 card with the new Kernels, e.g kernel 2.6.32.2 and my latest installed kernel 2.6.33-rc6. I found a recommendation for trying the newer driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.25-pkg0.run (on the Phoronix website I think it was), this has given me back my wobbly windows any chance of putting in the testing repository, as it may be of use to others like me?
Thanks and best wishes to everyone, (looking forward to a great PCLinux 2010 distro).  :)
P.s can I now use compiz with my KDE4? and is there any special way to enable this? Thanks.

Can you explain how to install this? (step by step?)

I am frustrated that I have no 3d effects.
