unloadable file dependancy

 vlc has always been a favorite but i get an unloadable dependancy file error when i try to load it from the repository. so far mplayer is having trouble playing my avi files. anyone know about this?

does anybody know why vlc media player would not be able to load onto lxde. bad install or just not compatible. the file in question is libxcb-keysyms.so.0. it says its not loadable.

VLC is broken for those that downloaded certain incompatible file (don't remember which one) I don't think it will be fixed until PCLinuxOS 2010 is out in a couple of weeks. You can try another player in the meantime.

I still use VLC, didn't update libxcb-util-devel  :)   but Kaffeine used to be my favorite, mplayer and real player are in repos.

BTW I didn't like dragon player.
