GetOpenOffice
« on: January 28, 2010, 11:13:00 AM »
On my new system, I see that a package called "getopenoffice" has been installed. I don't see it on the menu. I assume all I have to do is log in to a terminal and issue that command and OpenOffice wil be downloaded and installed.  I also assume this should be done as root.

Or is there a menu item that dos this in the GUI and I'm overlooking it?

hi georgetoon,

please ensure your system is updated and that you used the latest version of getopenoffice. Then from your user account run PCmenu -> System -> Configuration -> Get OpenOffice. Should be self-explanatory, further info can be found here.
good luck,
