I have already posted this issue during the early stages of KDE 4 and had a temporary fix for it. However, I noticed that certain settings remained with this problem. First, I should indicate that I am also running Compiz with Emerald as my window decoration. Second, I must also state that I prefer to position my panel on the top of the screen. I am also running Cairo-Dock which is at the bottom-center of the screen. Cairo-Dock is set to Auto-hide so I have more desktop space available.
The issue is with the KDE 4.3.4 panel and the window decoration as seen on the attached screenshot. It only appears when I set the panel visibility to Windows can cover that the bottom part of the window decoration is visible. Setting the panel visibility to Always visible does not show the windows decoration.
I am not entirely sure whether this is a one-off case as in only me, or a KDE/Compiz bug, or even if there is a way to get this fixed. I really prefer to set the panel visibility to Windows can cover.
I can always reset the panel visibility back to Always visible and get rid of the extra windows decoration but it would be nicer if I can fix this small problem.
