Hi all, my first post so hope I'm doing this right...
Anyone tried setting up an IP camera in zoneminder? To get started, I'm connecting 1x IP camera direct to eth0 in desktop pc.
In zm, after clicking monitor name, monitor window appears OK. After waiting 15-20 seconds monitor window shows black screen only. A USB camera works perfectly. (USB not an option as 4x cameras will be ~30 metres from pc in different directions).
Will post entries from logs when I get back to this pc, but /var/log/messages indicates RTSP connection isn't being established with camera when selecting Unicast when setting up monitor within zm. Unicast seems to be closest to working as it tries several times then gives up, with camera LED blinking green as it tries. Other options don't even get started.
I can access camera's various config menus OK using Firefox which indicates HTTP is connecting. Can ping camera OK.
I think its more a connection issue than capturing video output, grabbing frames etc. (Maybe this is still to come, he he he...)
Setup:
Zoneminder 1.24.1 from Synaptic
Camera: D-Link DCS-2102 using 320x240, JPEG mode, 5 frames/sec, standard jpg quality
OS: PCLOS 2009
AMD Athlon, 512Mb RAM (an issue?), 60Gb disk
Anyone got any suggestions?
